Exploring the Stories of the Hebrew Bible

The Hebrew Bible has so many extraordinary stories that are found after the first five Books of the Torah. Last year we read through the Books of Joshua, Judges and the First Book of Samuel. We will continue the series Starting on October 3 and continuing most subsequent Tuesdays at Noon.
Rabbi Rheins will lead this Virtual class as we continue with the reading of the Second Book of Samuel and then the Books of Kings. A PDF of each week’s text will be sent out with the Zoom hyperlink. We’ll review selections from classic commentary as well as insights from modern scholarship to get a rich and full understanding of the texts. Of course, we’ll also have ample opportunities to share our thoughts.
