Erev Shabbat Services
At Temple Sinai, we begin every Friday night (Erev Shabbat) at 6:00 PM with a warm, friendly, and spirited celebration of Shabbat. Our services are filled with wonderful music that includes both traditional and modern melodies. Throughout the year, we also celebrate Musical Shabbat on select Friday evenings, featuring expanded musical offerings that bring added joy, inspiration, and community to our worship experience. A thoughtful sermon or story from the rabbis enhances our services. The rich mixture of Jewish tradition and the modern egalitarian spirit is inviting and inclusive for those of every age and background. We conclude our service with a delicious oneg, a time to nosh and meet new and old friends.
Shabbat Morning Minyan
Our Shabbat Morning Minyan service includes many opportunities for participation as members can sign up to share their spirit and talent by leading various parts of the service. Members often volunteer to read or chant the Torah and Haftarah portions. Others provide a short Drash to explain the portion. The rabbis and members worship together and the atmosphere is one that encourages all to develop and share their spiritual connection to our warm and inclusive Jewish expression.
Pardes Meditation Group
Our lay-led meditation group meets on the first and third Saturday of the month at 8:00 AM for 55 minutes of guided contemplative practice. All levels are welcome.
Healing Service
For our Healing Service, we gather virtually once a month for prayers, meditations, music, and the warm embrace of friends to renew our sense of hope, strength, and healing. The Healing Service is for those who are struggling with their health, for those struggling with sadness and grief, and for caregivers who seek inspiration as they pray for the welfare of loved ones. All are welcome.
If you are unable to attend the Zoom Healing Service, just send us the name(s) of the loved ones you would like mentioned during our prayers. Please be sure to let them know that they are in all our thoughts and prayers.
The High Holy Days
Temple Sinai has a full schedule of services and worship opportunities during the High Holy Days. We offer a wide range of services for all ages including traditional, alternative, youth, and intergenerational experiences.
Festival Services
Temple Sinai offers Jewish festival services and holiday worship throughout the year, providing meaningful opportunities to celebrate, reflect, and connect with the community. We hold services for Passover (Pesach), Shavuot, Purim, Selichot, and Tisha B’Av, welcoming members, families, and visitors to join us in observing these important Jewish holidays and traditions. Whether you are looking for High Holy Days preparation, festival prayers, or community celebrations, our services are open to all who wish to participate.
