Powerful words from Rabbi Alexander Dukhovny speaking to Reform and progressive Jews from Kyiv

We have all been watching in horror as Russian troops are brutally attacking Ukraine, bringing destruction and bloodshed to a nation that simply wants its freedom and independence. We want to express our support for the heroic Ukrainian struggle against Russia. While there are many worthwhile funds that are requesting our donations, please consider the WUPJ Ukraine Crisis Fund.

This appeal comes directly from Reform Rabbi Alexander Dukhovny who has sent us a video message recorded in a basement shelter in Kiev. The video is emotional and heartbreaking. Please watch it and share.

The World Union for Progressive Judaism has launched the Ukraine Crisis Fund. Rabbi Alexander Dukhovny leads the Hatikvah-Nadyia Center in Kiev, which is one of 11 active Progressive Jewish Congregations in Ukraine.

May God help Rabbi Dukhovny, his congregation, and the Ukrainian people.

Ukraine Crisis Fund

In the light of the Russian attack on Ukraine, the World Union for Progressive Judaism launches the Ukraine Crisis Fund. We ask people from all over the world to make donations towards the support of the Ukrainian Jewish community.

Money will be spent on individuals and communities to ensure their safety and well-being. If the conflict escalates further, your money will become crucial and necessary help for many people. If the tension eases, the fund will be spent on the development of the progressive Jewish community in Ukraine.
